Transfagrasan Higway, The Best Road in The world!

Photo Tour Package Nr. 1
3 Days Trip; $700 USD (per person, max 2 travelers)
Day 1
Morning pick-up from the Airport or Hotel you are staying.
First Stop at Vidraru Dam; (About 1 Hour Stop)
We’ll walk around and take photos of the beautiful Vidraru Dam.
We’ll continue our journey driving through Fagarash mountains, destination to Balea Glacier Lake.
Overnight at Balea Lake Cabin or Hotel Hanul Patrisiei, Based on availability.
Breakfast will be included in the room cost.
We’ll hike trails and take photograph at Balea Lake and Transfgarasan sceneries.
On the next day we’ll stop to have lunch at Albota, Trout Farm.
Romanian traditional food (Mamaliga and grilled fresh fish cabbage roles, etc)
Day 2
We’ll continue our journey to Brasov medieval Old Town Square.
Experience an evening walk in medieval Brasov, a city of legend and myth.
Restaurants of traditional Romanian cuisine, shops and arts.
Overnight in Brasov at the Casa Antiqua Hotel or other hotel based on availability.
Day 3
Morning after breakfast we’ll drive to Dracula’s Castle.
We’ll visit the castle and take photographs.
About Noon time we’ll continue our trip to Sinaia and visit Peles Castle.
Castle guided history tours are available for a fee at the location.
About evening our trip ends and you will be dropped off at the place of your choice.

4 Days Trip; $1000 USD (per trip, max 2 travlers)
(Food/drinks and Hotel not included.)
You will be Picked up at the Otopeni Airport or Hotel.
Day 1
Early morning Pick-up from the Otopeni Airport or Hotel of your choice.
First Stop at Vidraru Dam with destination to Transfagarasn Highways.
We’ll make a short stop and enjoy the sceneries of the Vidraru Dam and take photographs.
We’ll continue our trip to Transfagarasn Highways destination Balea Glacier Lake.
We’ll spend 2 nights at Balea Lake Cabin or Hanul Patrisiei Hotel, based on availability.
The Objective is to explore the Fagaras mountain, nature and pathways a bit deeper by foot
and to take photographs in different lighting conditions through out the day.
Day 2
Breakfast Hours 8 to 10 Am
On this trip we will be spending an extra day on Transfagarasan Highway, and the
top Fagaras Mountains, at Lacul Balea 2,034m of altitude.
We will go on the hiking trails near by the Balea Glacier Lake,
and take photographs of the Balea Lake and Transfagrasn Highways.
For those who like tougher hiking trails away from the tourist crowds, we’ll hike to the
Lacul Capra (Goth Lake) which seats above the Balea Glacier Lake at 2249 meters altitude,
about 1 hour hike through the rough rocky trails..
This trail leads to the Făgăraș Mountains’ ridge right over the Balea glacial valley and starts from Balea Cottage right on the edge of the lake. This trail leads straight up to the mountain top. Although we will have to do a steep climb, the effort is worthwhile.
Not many tourists know about Capra Lake which is above Balea Lake. This lake is the reservoir feeding the Capra Waterfall and the Capra river on the South side of the Transfăgărășan highway.
It’s a peaceful place close yet still far and away from the tourist crowds at the Balea Lake.
At this higher altitude meeting with the brown bear is possible.
The Brown bears can also be seeing at the lowest altitude on the Transfagrasn Road at times.
Lunch or Dinner at Albota, Trout Farm.

Cablecar ride for amazing views is available.
The Cablecar at Balea Lake to Balea Waterfall, about 15 mim ride.
The length of the cablecar’s route is 3700 m (maximum altitude: 2.040 m).

Daily schedule functioning: 9.00am to 5.00pm (Monday – Sunday)
Scheduled trips: 09.30, 12.00, 15.00, 16.45
Cablecar ticket rates: about 30 RON (6 USD/EURO)

Day 3
We will drive to Brasov or Sighisoara, city of your choice.
This will be an overnight visit in one of the cities.
Day 4
We will drive to Dracula’s Castle for couple of hours stop and final destination to
Sinaia, Peles Castle until about evening.
On the same evening guest will be dropped off at the Hotel or place of your choice.
This trip includes car, gas and driver. Hotel and food/drinks is not included.
Camera gear Recommandation;
Any type of camera, that you are enjoying having with you.
For more professional landscape images;
1 Walk around lens; example Canon 24-105mm IS OR
2 Lenses 16-35mm and a telephoto lens 70-200mm F4. IS
IS (Image stabilization) is a camera feature that helps to reduce the blurriness of images or videos when taking a shot or shooting a video.
Since photos will be taken mostly during day, lenses with IS will take sharp images photos.
For professional landscape photographers.
A Light sturdy Tripod is needed to help with camera shake and getting sharp images,
for sunsets, or long exposure, waterfall, etc.
Landscape photographers you know what this means.
For hobbyist photographers,
any camera or phone camera, whichever you have will be fine.
The Lighter gear is more usable and easier to be carrying around and enjoyable.
